The industrial estate of "Mas Orline" in Perpignan marks the southern entrance of the town from the A9 motorway and develops into an agricultural plain of vineyards and fruit trees. Under French law, the impact of soil waterproofing promoted by urban development must be overcome by use of "retention areas" which for 48 hours can accumulate and slowly release rainwater. Contrary to the usual solution of creating a "large pond" at the lowest point of the polygon, for Orline ZAC we propose the construction of a series of shallower water bodies arranged in the form of "fingers" which manage rainwater while forming forest fringes that contribute to the environmental and ecological integration of the Polygon.
