Plaça del Llimoner is the epicenter of Girona’s gypsy district. Possibly it is the most disadvantaged area and with greater vandalism of the city. The existing square, with a drop of 2m, is fragmented by terraces and walls that make it inaccessible. It is proposed to transform the terraces into a set of steps of different heights that open the space, transform it into a sort of urban ‘stage’ and incorporate accessible ramps. This tectonic gesture solves the gap and incorporates more than 100ml of non-vandalizable rocky seat. 5 Sophores japonica are planted that provide a cool, bright shade.
