Les Échasses "Golf & Surf nature resort", located in the French Landes aims to introduce luxury into the landscape.
Starting from a wheat field next to a pond for irrigation, the concept is to create a new lake where each of the new pavilions can find an intimate relationship with the water. A soil path and a surface water table, 1m below the surface, facilitate the creation of a new liquid landscape, re-profiling 23,000 m3 of sand generates a wavy topography of dunes.
This is a low cost project, which is related to the landscape potential of the site and is allied with the natural processes for its construction. It is also a hybridization project between sustainable tourism and nature restoration.
