The village of Vicenza transforms the old military airfield into a large park that includes an aviation museum, sports facilities, the John Cage Gardens designed by F. Zagari, and an extensive park designed by EMF in collaboration with PAN Associati.
The site is located within the floodplain of Brachiglione. The project takes advantage of a shallow water table (<1m) to cross a north-south oriented channel network.
With a certain project economy, this will allow us to:
- Encourage the spontaneous development of vegetation
- Multiply ecotones and biodiversity
- Orient the views towards the Alps and the bell tower of Vicenza
- create special moments: viewpoints, paths over the dikes, islands, beaches ...
